For your consideration is a beautiful example of one of Chevrolet's most iconic creations and part of the Tri-5 family, a 1956 Chevrolet 2 dr post. This Beauty has been tastefully restored and ready for its next owner. This is a car that could be enjoyed for the next 20+ years as is, or drop a Crate or LS engine in and build that restomod you've always wanted. All of the hard work is done! First off, this is not the “Bel Air” model, it is the A code “150” model.Second, she's currently is equipped with what appears to be its original 235 Blueflame 6 cyl engine, and a manual 3 speed “on the tree”. Engine fires right up with no smoking, ticking, noises, etc. Has a fantastic rumble with the New Dual Exhaust. Car is turnkey and ready to drive anywhere. Transmission shifts effortless and crisp through the gears as it should. Clutch grabs in the right place. It rides, drives, and handles very well; straight down the road with no shimmies, shakes, or vibrations. Extremely tight and surprisingly easy to drive for what it is. I would not hesitate to get behind the wheel of this car with my family and drive it anywhere! She cruises at 65 MPH like a new car. A person of any size or age could drive this vehicle comfortably. Car has new Power Brakes, w/ Front Disc, so it stops on a dime! All of the lights, turn signals, brakes, gauges, wipers are functioning properly. It was a radio delete car, so with keeping the dash in tact, I just installed a new radio (Bluetooth) in the glove box. Chevy is finished with a beautiful two tone Carbon Grey and White base/clear paint. It shines at any angle, with much depth and gloss. Restoration was completed in 2011 and has been lovingly enjoyed ever since, and still shows exceptionally well. To put it simply, its just super nice. I would call the car a high end driver quality vehicle. Undercarriage is very clean, straight, & finished in flat black with a light undercoat which is consistent with a factory application. It’s not all cobbled up with Auto Zone rubberized crap! Was a body on restoration. The Grey Interior is finished nicely with newly covered seats, carpet, door panels, & Headliner. Has a Sunpro Tach, I just rebuilt the Rochester Carburetor, New Optima Battery, New Plugs and Wires, New Tires and Eagle Torq Thrust Chrome Wheels. Overall, this Chevrolet is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of a turnkey low maintenance investment grade Muscle Car that can be driven and enjoyed at a fraction of the build cost. This car in its current state is perfect for any buyer. Whether you are just looking for a clean Tri 5 that can be driven everyday, or the guy that has a built motor sitting on a stand in the garage waiting for the right car to put it in, or the LS pro touring guy that wants to build a 100K Barrett Jackson car, this Chevy can do it all. The car is so close to anything you would want to do! The paints done, the undercarriage is super clean, the interiors done, trunk is done, chrome is done! The rest is up to you!! Thanks for viewing, and if you have any questions, just let me know.
